HISTORY
San Roque Elementary School is located at Barangay San Roque, City of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan with an area of two thousand square meters (2000 sq. m). The land was donated by the barangay council of San Roque Elementary School with the countless support of the parents and stakeholders as well.
San Roque Elementary was opened to public in 2006. It consists of two classrooms with two teachers and an OIC in the name of Mr. Chito M. Reporen. The school was multi-grade school. During the administration of Mrs. Marissa Solomon, the barangay allowed to use the barangay hall to accommodate Grade III pupils. Four classrooms have been approved to be constructed in the site until she was transferred to Kakawate Elementary School.
San Roque Elementary School turned to complete elementary school through the initiatives of the barangay council, parents, stakeholders, OIC and teachers as well. A great development happened since Dr. Zurex T. Bacay, served as Administrator of the school. Through his initiative, the local government unit didn’t hesitate to build additional buildings with 2 rooms in 2010. He tried to gain school support from the PTCA by keeping communication lines with parents open and informing them of the school achievements. Improvements of the school physical facilities and beautification of the grounds were achieved through the fund of PTCA like search for Miss and Mr. San Roque, Raffle tickets and Bingo Social. Drinking water station installation was donated by San Jose Water District through his efforts and request. The project ensured safe potable drinking water for the children and teachers. Instructional supervision is his focus in guiding and assisting teachers to improve their teaching strategies and full commitment for the benefit of the children towards quality education.
And now under the leadership of Mr. Antonio D. Doncillo through her leadership the school was now tasked to exercise instructional leadership and sound administrative management of the school to unite the parents, the local government and the community in promoting effective schools. She mobilized the community leaders, the LGU, NGO’s, PTCA, school staff and pupils to invest time, money and effort in making San Roque Elementary School a better place to learn in.
